I knew him from one of my friend, at the beginning i was just asking about the rate and the situation around 5 months ago, but then when the rate were drop down he himself called me asked if i am interested to do refinance. He explained everything very well, he did his best to give me a good rate as well as ideas to save some money towards the closing cost. I finally closed the deal. My husband and I were buying a home in TX, and I remembered -- from years prior -- a knowledgeable banker in AZ named Mesut who'd helped me one day in a branch. We decided to throw his name in the lender hat.
Mesut explained the different types of lenders and recommended we get quotes from each and then send them to him so he could explain the pros and cons of each offer. He spent time with us on the phone going through details of how lending works in general, what fees are lender-based or not, and doing whatever he could to make sure his offer was the best to earn our business.
Being thorough, i also sent all lenders' estimates -- including mesut's -- to all the other lenders, and they all lowered their interest rates to match his but still told me flat out they couldn't beat his closing costs. They said they were still better than mesut because of superior customer service and history of closing on time. They said he's Arizona-based and doesnt know Texas lending like they do.
Well guess what? They did have great customer service, but not as good as mesut. As two scientists, we ask lots of meticulous questions, and mesut was very patient at odd hours and knowledgeable about the nuances of what was best for our family. On top of that, he closed not just on time but EARLY. Lol! And we had zero TX/AZ-related issues along the way.
So there is no better lender out there than Mesut Duman.
